Special orders are a great way to make purchasing organic and natural foods more affordable and can also provide you with access to items we don’t normally carry. Everyone can make special orders from the Grocery Department, Meat & Seafood Department, and Produce Department.
We offer special ordering through our largest supplier United Natural Foods, Inc. (UNFI). You can place grocery special orders in the store on the special orders clipboard located by the customer comment box or by sending an e-mail with the necessary info to email@example.com. Orders are due Friday by close for delivery the following Tuesday. If you need help ask an employee and they will be happy to help you out. Click here for complete instructions on making Grocery special orders. With questions about the program or about sourcing a particular product contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Owners pay 10% above catalog cost, everyone else pays 20%.
Certified Organic produce can be purchased by the case through the Co-op from Charlie’s Produce, a Seattle-based produce distributor. Produce Special Orders are due Tuesday by 10am for delivery on Wednesday. Due to limited space, produce orders must be picked up the same day as delivery. For current offerings and prices, please contact our Produce Lead Andrea Wammack. You can also leave order inquiries on the produce special order clipboard at the front of the store and Rhys will follow up with availability, case sizes and current pricing before placing your order. Everyone pays 15% above cost.
For local produce, we recommend you purchase those products directly from the farmers themselves. We are happy to point you in the direction of the farmer that has your desired product available
Meat & Seafood:
Meat & Seafood special orders may require up to two weeks advance notice, so it is good to get in touch as soon as possible. For more information about product availability and pricing, please contact our Assistant Manager Madden Surbaugh.
