UNFI Special Order Guide

Ordering

We offer special ordering through our largest supplier United Natural Foods, Inc. (UNFI). Orders must be placed by Friday before close for pickup the following Tuesday. You can place grocery special orders in the store on the special orders clipboard located by the customer comment box or by e-mailing the necessary info to specialorders@orcasfood.coop. * Please note that you are responsible for the items that you order through the special order program. Thus, it is very important that you submit the correct item codes with your order.

Online Catalog

Members have access to an online catalog through a generic UNFI web account set up for this purpose. Please use the login instructions below. The online catalog is for browsing only. Items put in the online cart will not be ordered. Please e-mail your order or write it down on the sheet in the store.

***Suggestion: You can copy and paste item info from the UNFI website into an e-mail. This is quick and easy and helps prevent mis-keys and typos.

Pickup

Orders must be picked up after 4pm on the Tuesday they arrive or by the end of the next business day. We appreciate your cooperation with prompt pickup as our space is extremely limited.

*Please note that Customers who repeatedly fail to pick up their orders in a timely manner may have their special order privileges revoked.

Pricing

Orcas Food Co-op Members pay 10% above UNFI catalog cost, everyone else pays 25%.

* Please note that prices in the printed catalog may be outdated. For accurate pricing info please check the online catalog using the above link and login info. Markups will be applied based on the price invoiced to the co-op, not to the price listed in the printed catalog.

Disclaimers

The Co-op does not guarantee that every order that is placed will be available that week. While we will make every effort to get your product here, sometimes UNFI sells out of products or sends the wrong product by mistake. Unfortunately, we do not have the ability to foresee these flaws until the order arrives. 

If you don’t hear from us please assume your order has arrived safely. We will only contact you if it doesn’t come in or if there is a problem with your order. Feel free to call the store on the Tuesday afternoon of the delivery to ask if your order has arrived and we will be happy to confirm for you.
